The building modulator lets you size and configure a steel building before you talk to a salesperson. Start with the length, width, and eave height your project needs, choose a gable or single slope frame, set the roof pitch, and pick panel and roof colors from our standard palette. Then add walk doors, roll-up doors, windows, skylights, insulation, and a ridge vent. The front-elevation preview updates with every change, so you can judge proportions and color combinations before you commit to anything.

Start from a preset that matches your project

If you are not sure where to begin, open the modulator from a product page and it loads typical dimensions, frame style, and roof pitch for that building type. Presets are available for metal buildings, carports, rv covers, lean-tos, barndominiums, and kits & components. Every value can be changed after the preset loads.

Planning tips before you size your building

Measure the tallest vehicle, RV, or piece of equipment that will go inside and add room for doors and clearance. Clear-span frames up to 60 feet wide leave the interior free of support columns, which matters for arenas, shops, and storage layouts. Think about where roll-up and walk doors should sit for the way you will drive and walk through the building, and consider whether a future lean-to addition could add covered space later.
